Walk It Off

The weather outside is turning a corner, making it the perfect time to start walking. Here are some tips from your Health & Wellness Fitness Center coaches:

Aim to walk regularly – at least 5 days a week to get you in the habit

Wear supportive sneakers and comfy clothes

Build endurance by walking 10 minutes each day during the first week

Pace yourself by adding 5-10 minutes each day during the next three weeks until you reach 30-40 minutes

Stretch after your walk to decrease muscle soreness
